Welcome to the Department of Security
The Department of Security ensures the safety of all persons and businesses within the Ministry of Steam. Their duties include, but are not limited to, crime prevention, crime investigation, traffic control, border security, visa enforcement, and license enforcement.
The Department of Security maintains an office on every land mass and air city within the Ministry of Steam as well as a fleet of mobile patrol vehicles. Vandalism of a DoS office or vehicle is subject to a Ω500 fine.
The Department of Security handles all security measures against external threats and maintains the military. Although this division falls under the greater Department of Security, it is considered seperate from the rest of the DoS and as such maintains a different command and ranking structure. It is commonly referred to as the Deparment of Sovereign Security.
